  We enjoyed our visit here. We arrived just as it opened and I would recommend doing this to anyone interested. The place was quiet and gave you plenty of time to take it all in and get plenty of photos.

  Very nice to visit... home to Omar Sharif for less than 24 hours. Very cool way to promote a cool house. Top floor is a bit too smelly and could do with some tlc.

  This place has fantastic ambience but you have to visit at off peak times if you want to enjoy the walk through dairy tale steps and corridors.

  Probably more fun without the kids, and not having to drive after leaving :) All I really wanted to do was sit on one of the terraces and drink wine. But, even without alcohol and with small ones, it is a very cool house. The 7 year old loved the unique design of the house, the rooms built into the lava tubes and the wavy architecture in general. He did NOT love the rather large beetles congregating near the water-parts. But he survived, and still came away with a positive experience. It really is a fascinating build, and reminiscent of Luke Skywalker's childhood home... ;)

  We did encounter some work being done at the time so some parts were closed to public which was a shame but didn't stop us enjoying the fantastic place.

  *Please note!!* just as we were leaving, a coach full turned up and immediately the place felt very crowded and the peaceful feeling went pretty swiftly, so if you do plan on visiting, get there just before they open so you can beat the mad tourist rush.
